INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH PROGRAMMES
EU promotes international research programs, that involve big companies and organizations distributed in all the European countries.
Main necessities of the participants are: to share any information used to catch up the prearranged targets; to harmonize the work of research groups involved in the same project; to interact in real-time with other research group; to spread easily caught up targets; to organize meetings.
Netfarm thought to develop a web application in order to obtain a collaborative-working platform and to permit the creation of a “virtual place”, where the users, also geographically distributed, can spread and share their knowledge.
VCM , considered in position to satisfy this requirements, has been adopted in FP6 projects like the Craft Projects Orfeus and Codes, in the Strep Project Unic and in the NoE (Network of Excellence) ACE1 and ACE2.
